Plagiarism Policy
Plagiarism Policy
The Editorial Team of the journal acknowledges that plagiarism is unacceptable and, therefore, establishes the following policy outlining the specific actions and sanctions to be imposed in cases of plagiarism.
Definition
Plagiarism is the deliberate or unintentional act of obtaining or attempting to obtain academic credit or recognition for a scholarly work by quoting or reproducing part or all of another person's work and/or scholarly publication and presenting it as one's own without properly and adequately acknowledging the original source.
Policy Statement
Submitted manuscripts must be original, have not been previously published, and must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere. Any text reproduced verbatim from other sources must be clearly identified and appropriately distinguished from the original text through proper quotation and citation.
If plagiarism is identified, the Editor-in-Chief is responsible for reviewing the manuscript and determining the appropriate action based on the severity of the detected plagiarism, in accordance with the following guidelines.
All manuscripts submitted to the journal will be screened for plagiarism using Turnitin software (www.turnitin.com).
However, the similarity score alone shall not be used as the sole basis for determining plagiarism. The Editorial Team will carefully examine the similarity report, taking into account the nature and extent of the matching text, the adequacy of citations and references, and the context in which the similarities occur.
Manuscripts with a similarity score exceeding 25% may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected, depending on the results of the editorial assessment. Conversely, manuscripts with a similarity score of 25% or lower may still be considered to contain plagiarism if substantial portions of another person's work are reproduced without proper acknowledgment.
The final decision regarding suspected plagiarism will be made by the Editor-in-Chief or the authorized Editorial Team based on a thorough examination of the manuscript and the similarity report, in accordance with the journal's plagiarism policy.
Author Responsibility: All authors are responsible for the content of the manuscript submitted to the journal. If a manuscript is found to contain plagiarism, all authors will be subject to the same sanctions.
Simultaneous Submission: If an author is found to have submitted the same or substantially overlapping manuscript to another journal while it is under consideration by this journal, and this overlap is identified during the peer-review process or after publication, the sanctions specified in Point 2 above will apply.
Other Forms of Plagiarism: If plagiarism or related misconduct is identified in circumstances not explicitly covered by the provisions above, the Editorial Team reserves the right to determine and impose appropriate sanctions in accordance with the journal's editorial policies.
