Model Group Investigation diharapkan dapat mengubah paradigm pembelajaran menjadi siswa aktif, kreatif, dan menyenangkan. Model pembelajaran ini memberikan kesempatan kepada siswa mencari jawaban dengan kerja sama kelompok sehingga mempeoleh kompetensi.Rumusan masalah penelitian ini adala “Bagaimanakah peningkatan hasil belajar IPSmateri bentuk-bentuk hubungan sosial melalui modelGroup Investigation pada siswa kelas VIII-D semester 1 tahun pelajaran 2018/2019 di SMP Negeri 1 Pogalan?†Dengan tujuan untuk mendapatkan gambaran obyektif tentang peningkatan hasil belajar IPSmateri bentuk-bentuk hubungan sosial melalui model Group Investigation. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII D dengan jumlah 32 siswa. Hasil penelitian pada Siklus I nilai rata-rata sebesar 70.00 dan pada siklus II sebesar 87.50 meningkat sebesar 17.50. Persentase ketuntasan belajar pada siklus I sebesar 62.50% dan pada siklus II sebesar 96.88% meningkat sebesar sebesar 34.38%. Berdasarkan hasil penilaian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa Model Group Investigation dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS materi bentuk-bentuk hubungan sosial pada siswa kelas VIII D semester 1 tahun pelajaran 2018/2019 di SMP Negeri 1 Pogalan. Berdasarkan simpulan tersebut disarankan agar guru menggunakan metode yang relevan dengan karakteristik materi pelajaran dan karakteristik siswa seingga terjadi pembelajaran aktif, kreatif, dan menyenangkan..

Abstract
The Group Investigation model is expected to change the learning paradigm into active, creative, and fun students. This learning model provides an opportunity for students to find answers with teamwork so that they gain competence. The formulation of the research problem is "How to improve social studies learning outcomes in the form of social relations through the Group Investigation model in class VIII-D students in semester 1 of the 2018/2019 academic year at SMP Negeri 1 Pogalan?" With the aim of obtaining an objective picture of the improvement of social studies learning outcomes in the form of social relations through the Group Investigation model.The research subjects of this study were 32 students of class VIII D. The results of the study in Cycle I the average value was 70.00 and in cycle II was 87.50 an increase of 17.50. The percentage of learning completeness in the first cycle was 62.50% and in the second cycle 96.88% increased by 34.38%. Based on the results of this assessment, it can be concluded that the Group Investigation Model can improve social studies learning outcomes in the material forms of social relations in class VIII D students in semester 1 of the 2018/2019 academic year at SMP Negeri 1 Pogalan. Based on these conclusions, it is suggested that teachers use methods that are relevant to the characteristics of the subject matter and student characteristics so that learning occurs actively, creatively, and has fun.
